Ann Houston Kelley, Nomadic Executive Development

The pace of change is accelerating for world markets, business sectors, individual organizations, teams and individuals. Successful change efforts recognize the importance of addressing the context, the organization and the individual. Acknowledging the value of past efforts adds powerful momentum to the change process. I start with a proper assessment (quantitative and qualitative) and help my clients to lay the necessary groundwork for managing change effectively.

My experience

Advised a VP in a major business unit of a large global manufacturing company on consolidating the functions in his area. Designed/facilitated transition workshops involving him and the next two layers down. The area was successfully reorganized and is now operating more effectively in numerous international locations.

Coached two senior executives in a mid-size global manufacturing company during the process of being acquired on

  1. maintaining morale and production
  2. retaining key talent and
  3. continuing to cut costs in a steeply declining market.

One of the executives was even able to make significant improvements in his business unit during this turbulent period.

In times of change, learners inherit the Earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists. Eric Hoffer
